You will be able to find these accredited training programs all over the country, and there should be a couple in your general area as well. The first thing you will want to do is contact your local community college and see if they have any classes available.
Medical Assistant Schools
There are some online courses that you can take as well that will give you all the training you need to become a working medical assistant, although you should be aware that specialized training that requires lab work or hands on training with patients will be harder to get with online courses. If you are lucky, there might be a few clinics that are able to help you with that lab work, but these clinics are only available in larger cities for the most part. Now, if you don’t have the time to go to a formal training program then the online option will work just fine.
You will also need to figure out what area of medical assisting you would be most comfortable in. There are way too many options in the medical assisting field to go through in a single sitting, but you can narrow things down drastically if you need to. One way is to determine if you want a more administrative career; things like record keeping and maybe even working in accounts, or if you are wanting to be more hands on with actual patient care such as giving injections, making rounds with nurses and so forth.

You can find some of these jobs that will train you while you are working, but the best possible chance to get hired is by enrolling in a medical assisting school program so that you can be trained the right way before you even start.
